Riley Roadsters Cooma

The Riley Motor Club of Australia was started in 1955, and 50 years later is still motoring along. Anyone with an interest in Rileys can join the Club. Click here to download an application form.

Visitors are always welcome and we usually meet at the Lane Cove Country Club on the first Tuesday of the month (But check first). Fine food is consumed, drinks are enjoyed and yes, there is even talk about Rileys. A monthly magazine is posted out, as long as the Editor has enough interesting material. Of course, anything to do with Rileys is interesting...

An elected mixed management committee works on your behalf. The committee meets formally on the third Tuesday each month. The President usually chairs this meeting and minutes are kept.

The Riley Gazette (paper version) moved out of the comfort zone some years back. It is the source of Riley lore for our members, but sometimes takes the road less traveled.

You'd be right when you say there is not much news on new Rileys. The occasional false announcements out of BMW who own the marque aside, we really don't expect a new model. Modern legislation means the character of our cars can't be built today.

The thrill of driving a REAL car, cornering with drama and all the attractions of old cars is gone. They don't even leak oil satisfactorily.

Technical advice

Dr. Vivienne leads our technical team. A combination of research, talent and bullying means her advice is good. Most of the blokes are boofheads, she says, and need help.
That's her below.

The Gazette is printed on special oil-absorbent paper, as you'd expect.

The Editor is happy to publish anything on almost any Riley topic that is usable. Or scandalous.

Better still, send in a photo or contribution!
